Secondary Applications--Entering Class of 2006

I think we need to start a thread that lists the progress of this year’s applicants. Gabe included his information in another post, but this will make it easier to track. How about it fellow applicants for Fall 2006?

Received Drexel Yesterday and Pitt today.

Now I am in a quandary. I wasn’t going to send the secondary to Penn, assuming I wasn’t screened-out. This was mainly due to financial concerns. Now I wonder if I just bite the bullet and send it in. Any advice would be appreciated.

In response to the question about which secondaries to return, which is totally understandable considering that each one requires an additional outlay of $$$, please be sure that you’ve researched and found out which schools screen and which don’t.
I know there was a list on SDN some YEARS ago about this but I sure don’t have up-to-date knowledge. I can tell you that GWU and Georgetown do NOT screen, so getting a secondary from them is just a way for them to say, "We’ll be glad to know more about you if you pay us."
I seem to recall reading a statement that no-screeners outnumbered screeners but I just don’t know. But it’s a good nugget of information to have.
Good luck to all of you!
Mary

As I understand it (from the current MSAR), Pitt does screen, Drexel Doesn’t. However, I am seriously contemplating NOT sending in my Albany secondary (they do not screen either) in lieu of sending the Pitt secondary.
I kinda feel that by passing Pitt’s screening, my “numbers” at least qualify me for admission (though I don’t really see how). However, Albany’s tuition is soooo expensive.
AGGHHHH!!!

Just received Cornell!!
That is all the Alllos.
Nova and NYCOM are the holdouts for the Osteos.
