Hi! I’m REALLY struggling to find physicians to shadow in the DC Metro area. Does anyone have suggestions (or possible connections/referrals) for shadowing opportunities? I’m willing to commute within a 4 hour radius of DC (DC, Virginia, Maryland). Thank you for reading my post. 
If you haven’t already, try contacting local physician organizations. If you’re thinking DO I know the AOA has been trying to get a list of physician’s that will take students. Take a look at the iLEARN mentorship page http://cf.osteopathic.org/iLearn/home.cfm if you’re interested. Another way to find physicians that will let you shadow is to start by volunteering in a clinical setting, and asking the Doctor’s you meet through that. If you already have a friendly relationship they will be more likely to allow you to shadow. Good luck to you on your journey!
