How to Shadow a Doctor as a Pre-Med Student?
Hi Henry, unfortunately with covid around, shadowing will be difficult to find if not impossible. And med schools know this.
You can become a scribe. I’m doing the training for that now. Unfortunately, it’s a huge commitment - 20 hours/wk - and you’re little more than a physician’s personal assistant. I’m not sure myself if I’m going to go through with it.
I suspect that “scribe” will be on a lot of med school applications next cycle, as it’s the only shadowing game in town right now.
