Should I reach out to admissions before applying this cycle?

I have heard on the old premeds podcast about reaching out early to admissions at medschools, I heard this too late unfortunately. I am applying this cycle and my grades from 13 years ago bring my cumulative 3.3 to a 2.98. I feel I won’t even be considered due to this and am wondering if there’s anything I can do since I’m applying in 2 weeks. This was my lack of foresight to include my old grades from when I was very ill.

Absolutely reach out - it’s not too late! I spoke with a few admissions directors who were happy to give me advice.
