surgical residents

Good morning everyone,

I am 45 years old, and thinking of medical school. Just curious, but have there ever been any surgical residents over 50 years of age?

I am sure there have been somewhere, possibly even here.

I caution you though. First get into med school. Second explore surgery. I personally loved surgery and being in the OR. Surgeon are, in my opinion, excellent Dr. They can fix almost anything and their knowledge in medicine is quite impressive. I truly admire them. However, when I did it, and while I loved it (and even considered it), I find the life of a surgeon to be too taxing. The commitment and lack of personal time made it a no go for me. My family is more important to me than cutting flesh. That’s just me.

So first go to Med School, explore then decide.
