Not only is she behind me going to medical school at 38 she also wants to go (she’ll be 40). She is leaning toward Physiatry. Myself, well… I hear so much about older student struggling with it but I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to be an Orthopaedic Adult Reconstructive Surgeon. I could not care less what anyone thinks. I know I’m getting into medical school and from there I just need a great Step one score (shoot for 230+) and I am in. Yes, believe me I know this is a ways into the future. I also know that it’s very possible to switch while in school SEVERAL times.
Bottom line: I am not worried about the length of any residency (and possible fellowship). I am ready to ROCK!!
