Tips on how to study for the MCAT

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if I could get some tips on how to study for the MCAT from those who have already taken the test.

What was most important in preparing for the MCAT?

What would you advice for someone who will be taking the test in 6-7 months time frame?

I am almost done with my pre-requisites and would like to start studying for the August 2007 test.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take a prep class, Kaplan or Princeton. Take the one that begins about 5 months before the test date, so that you will have plenty of time to practice and absorb the material. Take lots of practice exams, grade them carefully, and go back and study the stuff that you missed. Do all of the online quizzes and stuff that they give you; don’t skimp.

Beyond that, I suggest reading back over some of the threads in this topic where others have made suggestions. Also, check out the MCAT study forum over at studentdoctor.net, the one moderated by qofquimica. Good luck!
