Validity of Next Step's Full Lengths

Hi there,

I am a student currently studying for the MCAT through Next Step Test Prep. I know that Dr. Gray recommends this medium as it is so personalized to the student, and I have loved it for this very reason.

However, as of late, I have seen some question online, from other pre-meds or those who have taken the MCAT, about whether or not NS weighs their full-lengths too heavily.

To clarify, these students are saying that NS gives you a higher score than you really would get on the AAMC exams.

I was wondering if anyone else has had any trouble with this, or what the present experiences/feelings are on this matter. I just want to make sure that I am accurately measuring my progress and know where I stand before test day.

As a side note: I will be taking three AAMC full-length exams. I am working my way there through NS’s full-lengths currently.

Thank you!

I’ve heard that NS is pretty close to the AAMC tests but that AAMC tests are closest obviously. I’ve heard that Uworld is an excellent word bank site for MCAT prep. I’ve also heard that they make their questions harder so that you can be more prepared for test day.
