Volunteer advice

Hello everyone! To keep a long story short I am one of the many (or so it seems!) nurses looking to apply and get into med school in the near future. I have been a nurse for 5 years and have med surg, tele, and operating room experience.
I am looking to begin volunteering this semester so I can add that to my application for med school in the future. Since I am a nurse with five years experience, would it be helpful to volunteer in other ways in my community other then medically? I feel that volunteering medically would seem a bit redundant since I do have clinical experience as a nurse and a patient care tech prior to that.
Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I will be helping at a Community science center while helping with contact tracing teaching for COVID as well. I think it will be a perfect fit!
