We're not that old!

Today I happened upon a non-traditional student in the library and helped him find and print his electronic reserves articles. He was grateful (which is a little ironic, as I was in a hurry and performed bad librarian service by doing it for him instead of teaching him how) and said he’s too old to do computers. I told him this was nonsense; my mom is 74 and has her own computer.

Turns out he’s 84 and is back in school seeking a Ph.D. in Communications.

You may be older than dirt, Dr. Belle, but you’re not older than he is!

That is SO cool! This is our insurance against old-age brain rot, really.
