work/activities section AMCAS

Hi all,

For the work/activities section on AMCAS, how are we suppose to write it? Is it factual like a resume or more narrative. In the case of let’s say piano, do I just write I did/do piano or should I create some elaborate story?

P.S. anyone still willing to read personal statements?

Thanks everybody.

I wrote mine like a series of facts. All of my research ECs, in particular were one-two sentences for intro, experiment, results, and conclusion. The experience alone will help show how good of a doc you will be without some elaborate story.

The experiences are usually written in a resume style, with enough narrative to keep it from being too choppy. What you don’t want to do, if possible, is to include the “I learned xxxx from yyyy.” This is not the place for editorializing and winded comments.

Cheers,

Judy
