Class of 2016 Chat

We had our first anatomy practical (on back, upper extremity and lower extremity) with oral exam this morning… talk about intense! Relaxing a little tonight and then back to the grind for the written part of the anatomy exam Monday.

Good luck to everyone out there!

Hanging in there here. We had three tests this week, three test next week (immuno, micro and pathology). Studied like crazy on my birthday last Monday but I’m feeling bummed out about having to study all day tomorrow on my son’s 2nd birthday :frowning: Stupid because he doesn’t know it is his birthday yet but it bums me out nonetheless.

Okay, back to studying immunology.

@telomerase: enjoy these early years when you can simply tell the little one “Today’s your birthday!” on an open day near his/her birthday (or Christmas or other holiday worked). We did this all the time when mine were little - as an RN, I work a certain number of holidays. It never mattered till they started counting down the days till the big event.

They won’t know the difference, you can relax, and you can still celebrate with them!

Annette

So someone moonwalked at our White Coat…

Gah… where’s my “like” button? =)

Wasn’t me, the faculty was non-plussed

I just had to laugh, because my immediate first thought was, “Wow. I bet his parents were SO proud.”

So guess who is class treasurer, okay, back to biochem.

HIGH FIVE Bailey

Ofcourse no one else ran…

I once won a silver medal in an erg competition, field of 2. Be proud all the same, I was!

haha bailey, our school also had some troubles finding people to run for treasurer. they had to send an extra email asking someone (anyone) to run. one person finally signed up and the election is tomorrow.

did well on my first exam so i’m very happy about that. also had a clinical skills course last night so we all stuck each other with needles. i had to do the phlebotomy butterfly needle blood draw twice but now i can volunteer at any of the 3 student-run free clinics!

hope everyone is doing well and keeping sane. back to studying!

Apparently everyone who was nominated for one of our class positions declined, so they sent a similar email out last night.

Within an hour someone had nominated me. Made me actually LOL.

Yay!

Yay Pixie and Bailey!

So I currently have a 4.0 in Med School. Granted it’s an A in a 1 credit hour Hx of Med class, but small victories.

Doesn’t matter. No disclaimers. IT’S AN A!!!

(And this time last year, you were just hoping for acceptance…) That’s worth a victory dance.

LOL

Definitely celebrate the small victories!! I technically have a 4.0 at the moment too - from a 1-credit course in healthcare management =)

I just realized it is October already and I don’t know where the time went - I feel simultaneously like I just got here and like I’ve been here doing this forever, if that makes any sense.

Totally makes sense. Exhausted and happy.
